An Operating System is a software that runs or manages a PCs software and hardware. It acts as a link between a user and a computer. 4. Do PCs come with an Operating system Installed?

Yes and No

No: Some PCs do not come with an operating system installed.

Yes: Some windows laptops come installed with Free DOS, UBUNTU, Windows 11 Home or Windows 11 Pro

Yes: All Apple PCs come with Mac OS installed. Microsoft Laptops have windows operating system installed.

If your PC has free DOS, you will need to install windows 10 or windows 11 to use it. Most dell laptops have Ubuntu OS, you can use it or have windows installed.

5. Which is better an SSD or a HDD drive?

6. Can I Upgrade my Computer’s RAM and Storage?

Yes and No

Yes: Some Laptops and Most desktops have the option of upgrading the RAM. However, there is a limit to the maximum amount of RAM you can upgrade. Consult a reliable technician to know the Limit.

Yes: You can easily upgrade the storage capacity on most PCs

No:  Some laptops have onboard memory that cannot be upgraded.

7. What is the Warranty period on New PCs?

1 Year. 1 Year warranty is common on consumer PCs across the board (HP, Lenovo, Dell, Asus, Infinix Laptops)

2 Years. Some Lenovo consumer laptops have 2 Years Warranty. Channel Apple PCs also have 2 Years local warranty

3 Years. Most HP, Dell and Lenovo Business laptops have warranties of up to 3 years
